Here is a list of technology tools that I have found useful in assessing students in the classroom. I did note which ones allow a subscription to utilize. If it is unmarked, then you can use the basics for free.
Padlet: an online tool where students share their opinions, thoughts, or knowledge about a topic. I like that this can be done anonymously, or with recognition.
Kahoot!: this is a super fun way to help students review, assess prior knowledge, or learn about topics. You can customize your own, or search from premade "quizzes." Students need devices in order to interact with this tool.
RubiStar: this website is an online rubric builder that allows you to either use preexisting templates or create your own. It's sometimes nice to edit the templates so you aren't doing all the thinking!
Plickers: a website similar to Kahoot! that allows you to insert questions and multiple choice answers. Students then use paper "clickers" to show you either A, B, C, or D to represent their answer choice.
Seesaw: so much more than an assessment tool, this website allows students to collect work in a portfolio, demonstrate knowledge through drawings, pictures, and recordings. Subscription required.
Google forms: Google forms allow you to make multiple types of assessments. It offers the capability to format questions in multiple ways. Media can be embedded within questions, and it presents responses in nice visuals for reference.
Quizlet: this allows you to create flashcards and learning materials, then has the option to complete a "test" to assess your learning. Teacher version= subscription required.
Quizizz: this is an easy-to-use assessment tool that allows you to input questions and saves student's names so you can review their achievement on each question.
